Nevada Health Link consumers may be eligible for different federal financial help based on their individual or household incomes. Subsides may include Advanced Premium Tax Credits (APTC) or Cost Share Reductions (CSR).
Federal tax credits and other subsidies are only available if you enroll through Nevada Health Link.
Advanced premium tax credits are paid directly to an insurance carrier, by the federal government, on behalf of an eligible consumer, to lower the cost of monthly premiums. APTC is made available to consumers based on reported income and other eligibility factors.
Cost share reductions are payments made directly to healthcare service providers, by insurance carriers to lower the out of pocket cost of services utilized, by a consumer. Eligibility for CSRs is determined by reported income, household demographics, and other eligibility factors.
Consumers may be eligible for financial subsidies based on meeting additional income-based criteria on top of general enrollment eligibility criteria and must complete a financial application in order to receive an eligibility determination.
All consumers must reconcile any use of subsidies with the IRS, when they file their taxes after the plan year.
